Knife Defense

KNIFE

 

#1       Poke to stomach)

  1. Sidestep to the left into cat stance and double open-hand side by side block

  2. Grab wrist w/left and right palm strike to back of hand to disarm

  3. Grab wrist w/right, step in w/left, and left backlist to groin

  4. Right scooping index punch to solar plexus

  5. Push down shoulder w/left and right chop to back of neck, right knee to face

  6. Recover knife and cover

 

#2       (45 degree attack)

  1. Step to 1:30 into horse stance, left long outward block and right back fist to groin

  2. Grab wrist w/left, step in w/right, and right uppercut to chin

  3. Right uppercut to tricep to disarm

  4. Grab shoulder w/right arm, step in w/left, and over the shoulder throw

  5. Recover knife and cover

  6.  

#3       (Slash Stab)

  1. Shuffle backwards into cat stance, then step to 9:00 into cat stance and sideways X block

  2. Grab wrist w/left hand and right palm strike to back of hand to disarm

  3. Left front kick to side of knee

  4. Step behind w/left, left chop to throat, right chop to groin, and grab w/both hands

  5. Drop attacker on left knee to break back

  6. Right punch to ribs

  7. Recover knife and cover

 

#4       (Slash Stab)

  1. Shuffle backwards into cat stance, then step to 9:00 into cat stance and right downward block and left index punch to spine

  2. Grab wrist w/left hand and right palm strike to back of hand to disarm

  3. Left front kick to knee

  4. Step behind w/left, left chop to throat, right chop to groin, and grab w/both hands

  5. Drop attacker on left knee to break back

  6. Right punch to ribs

  7. Recover knife and cover

 

#5       45 degree attack)

  1. Step to 1:30 into horse stance, left long outward block and right back fist to groin, recoil

  2. Grab wrist w/left, step in w/right to outside of attacker and right hammer strike to bicep

  3. Figure-4 over the right arm, step through w/left, and pull arm down w/both hands to takedown

  4. Right palm strike to elbow to disarm

  5. Recover knife and cover

 

#5a     45 degree attack)

  1. Step to 1:30 into horse stance, left long outward block and right back fist to groin, recoil

  2. Grab wrist w/left, step in w/right to outside of attacker and uppercut to tricep to disarm

  3. Figure-4 under the right arm, step through w/left, and pull arm down w/both hands to takedown

  4. Right palm strike to elbow to disarm

  5. Recover knife and cover

 

#5b     (45 degree attack)

  1. Step to 1:30 into horse stance, left long outward block and right back fist to groin, recoil

  2. Grab wrist w/left, step in w/right to outside of attacker and uppercut to tricep to disarm

  3. Figure-4 under the right arm, step through w/left, and leg sweep to takedown

  4. Right palm strike to elbow to disarm

  5. Recover knife and cover

 

#6       (Poke to stomach)

  1. Sidestep to the left into cat stance and double open-hand block left over right

  2. Turn wrist over wrist take down position

  3. Right front kick to groin, step in w/ right, right hammer to bicep and right chop to neck

  4. Step through, wrist takedown

  5. Walk around head to turn attacker to stomach

  6. Recover knife and cover

 

#7       (Poke to stomach)

  1. Sidestep to the left into cat stance and double open-hand side by side block

  2. Grab wrist w/right and figure-4 arm with left arm

  3. Push knife to solar plexus

  4. Push knife across throat

  5. Push knife to ground to takedown

  6. Left palm strike to elbow to disarm

  7. Recover knife and cover

 

#8       (Poke to stomach)

  1. Sidestep to the left into cat stance and double open-hand side by side block

  2. Grab wrist w/left and right palm strike to back of hand to disarm

  3. Step in w/left and left backlist to groin

  4. Push arm between legs and grab w/left

  5. Right downward elbow to spine

  6. Right chop to back of neck

  7. Step behind attack holding arm with both hands

  8. Bump forward and pull arm back to flip attacker over

  9. Recover knife and cover

 

#9       (Poke to stomach)

  1. Sidestep to the left into cat stance and double open-hand side by side block

  2. Grab wrist w/left and right palm strike to back of hand to disarm

  3. Left front kick to side of knee

  4. Left back fist to groin and right scooping index punch to groin

  5. Right chop to back of neck, followed by left chop to back of neck

  6. Recover knife and cover

 

#10     (Overhead attack)

  1. Rush to 12:00 right upward block

  2. Grab wrist w/right, left snake behind into Figure-4

  3. Walk forward to take down

  4. Left palm strike to elbow to disarm

 

#11     (Poke to stomach)

  1. Sidestep to the left into cat stance and double open-hand side by side block

  2. Grab wrist w/left and palm strike to back of hand to disarm

  3. Left front kick to side of knee

  4. Step in w/left and right ridge hand to groin

  5. Left backlist to groin

  6. Circle right hand around arm clockwise to open up chest area while stepping out w/left

  7. Right roundhouse ball kick to solar plexus

  8. Recover knife and cover

 

#12     (Poke to stomach)

  1. Sidestep to the left into cat stance and grab hand left over right

  2. Turn wrist over to left slashing throat

  3. Right kick to groin, drop right knee, and push knife into throat

  4. Leave knife in attacker’s throat and cover

 

#13     (45 degree attack)

  1. Step to 1:30 into horse stance, left long outward block and right back fist to groin

  2. Grab wrist w/left, step in w/right, and right uppercut to chin

  3. Right uppercut to tricep to disarm

  4. Grab around back of head w/right arm, step in w/left, and over neck breaker throw

 

#14     (Overhead attack)

  1. Step to 10:30 and right long outward block

  2. Circle arm clockwise grab with both hands

  3. Right front kick to groin

  4. Right forearm to elbow dropping right knee into 3-point stance

  5. Recover knife, slice under armpit, and cover

 

#15     (Overhead attack)

  1. Step to 10:30 and right long outward block

  2. Right hand grab wrist, right roundhouse to stomach

  3. Right step down, left forearm break behind elbow to take down

  4. Recover knife and cover
